We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal information you share when using this website ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and how we keep it secure.

1Who we are

[FULL POSTAL ADDRESS]

United Kingdom

If you have any questions, please email privacy@[yourdomain].com.

2What we collect

We intentionally collect as little information as possible. When you use the Service:

Video files you upload

Stored temporarily for processing and automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Technical metadata

File name, duration, resolution, processing status, error logs.

Device and usage data

Anonymized IP (for rate-limiting), browser type, and timestamps.

Payment information

(From Month 2 onward) Handled securely by Stripe Payments UK Ltd; we never see or store your card details.

We do not require user accounts, names, or email addresses for free use. Email is collected only if you opt-in for receipts or quotas.

3How your data is used

To process and return your blurred video.

To monitor service performance, detect abuse, and improve reliability.

To handle billing and receipts once payments are enabled.

We never sell, trade, or rent user data.

4Storage and retention

Video files

Reside on secure servers (initially local VM storage; later an S3-compatible bucket) and are deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Logs

Minimal logs (request ID, job ID, processing time) are retained up to 30 days for debugging and metrics.

Backups

Are not kept beyond what's required for system reliability.

5Lawful basis for processing

Processing is based on legitimate interest (providing the Service) and, where applicable, contractual necessity (processing your paid video).

6Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:

Access or request deletion of your data (video or logs)

Object to processing or request limitation

Data portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK supervisory authority)

To exercise any rights, email privacy@[yourdomain].com with your job ID or upload timestamp.

7Security

We apply encryption in transit (HTTPS), server-side deletion jobs, strict CORS, rate-limits, and regular patching. No external parties have direct access to stored files.

8International data transfers

Data processing occurs within the UK. If we use third-party services that may transfer data outside the UK/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

9Automated decision-making

Our service uses automated face detection algorithms to process your videos. This automated processing does not involve profiling or decisions that significantly affect you legally or otherwise - it simply provides the technical service you requested.

10Children's privacy

This Service is not directed to children under 16.
