Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2025

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Face Blurring App ("Service"). By uploading a video or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

For information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

1Service overview

The Service allows you to upload short videos (≤ 4 minutes and ≤ 750 MB for the MVP phase) to automatically blur faces or sensitive areas. Processing is performed on a CPU-based server and results are made available for download until auto-deletion within 24 hours.

2Free and paid use

Month 1: free public beta for evaluation.

Month 2 onward: pay-per-use model via Stripe Checkout.

Pricing, limits, and features may change with notice on the website.

3User responsibilities

You agree that:

You own or have permission to process the content you upload.

You will not upload illegal, defamatory, or infringing material.

You will not attempt to overload, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service.

The developer may refuse processing or remove any file that violates these Terms.

4Processing and deletion

Videos are processed automatically; no human reviews them.

All input and output files are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

You can delete a job earlier using the provided delete link (if implemented).

5Accuracy and limitations

While we aim for high-quality blurring, results may vary depending on lighting, resolution, occlusion, or detector accuracy. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

6Liability disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service.

Your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.

Some jurisdictions may not allow certain disclaimers; those limits apply accordingly.

7Intellectual property

All algorithms, code, and branding remain the property of the developer. You retain ownership of your original video and processed output.

8Payments (when enabled)

Payments are handled securely by Stripe.

Refunds are provided only if processing fails due to system error.

You must not attempt to circumvent payment or quota systems.

9Termination and suspension

We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, abuse, or technical maintenance without notice.

10Data protection

You have rights under UK GDPR regarding your personal data, including the right to request deletion of your uploaded content. For details, see our Privacy Policy or contact privacy@[yourdomain].com.

11Governing law

These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
